Joy Luck Club (1993)

I was only 9 when this movie came out, and decades later, there has yet to be a movie that captures the complicated relationships between immigrant mothers and American-born daughters. The stories they keep and the narratives that build identities without ever realizing. Still to this day, it's a moving watch.
